Oh what movement we’ve got happening in and around Maui Tempeh right now! Our plates have certainly been full, and we’ve been playing around with some recent changes in process and our potential to expand.
This particular batch we upped the amount of adzuki beans we use on a given production day. It was a particularly long day here at the kitchen, but all is well when your making fresh Zuki, right?
This was our first day of using the portioner for (almost) EVERY SINGLE TEMPEH BRIK. That is amazing. Why stand in a circle with all your friends talking story and bagging adzuki beans when you could sit in front of a portioner all by yourself with a foot pedal? Some trade-off.
We have really been excited about the new products we’ve been able to share with the community these last few Saturdays, from the famed Zuki Poke, different styles of Zuki Burger, a pulled-pork style Zuki BBQ, other pre-made meals in the form of curries and gumbos and teriyakis and sautés, to yes…. wait for it….. Zuki Jerky. If you haven’t already heard, please welcome the newest member into our Maui Tempeh family, and that is: ZUKI .

We are continuing our shipment across the islands and have begun consistently providing fresh zuki tempeh to the Big Island, just today started shipping Oahu, and soon to our extended family out on Kauai.
